Another dream of mine ..πŸŽ»πŸ’™πŸŽ»

After I got selected in the University of the visual and perfoming arts , I  thought  conduct a Saraswati Pooja.I saw  my teacher is conducting saraswathi pooja in these days, on his whatsapp states . I have a desire to conduct a Saraswati Pooja in my home as well.

πŸ’“ Saraswati Puja is celebrated across the globe by the Hindus. This festival is also known by the name of Sripanchami festival and is observed on the fifth day of the spring festival on a full moon day in the month of January to February.

πŸ’“ The word panchami means five. The Saraswati Puja festival is related to the Kaumudi utsav and the Basant utsav. Saraswati Puja marks the beginning of the Vasant Utsav and is celebrated for a period of fifteen days by the people of Uttar Pradesh till Dolepurnima or full moon dayGoddess Saraswati is the embodiment of knowledge, wisdom and learning.

πŸ’“ The word Saraswati has been derived from the two words, knowledge  and self .She is draped in a white saree or mustard coloured or basanti saree. White signifies purity and her demeanour reflects the same.

πŸ’“ In her two rear hands she holds akshmala or prayer beads in her right hand and pustaka or book in her left hand. With her two fore hands she plays the musical instrument veena that symbolizes harmony.

πŸ’“ Playing the veena signifies the tuning of the intellect with the mind and knowledge, so that the devotee can blend harmoniously with the universe.

πŸ’“ The prayer beads signify spiritual knowledge and bring across the message that spiritual knowledge is more powerful than the secular knowledge contained in books. The deity sits on an inverted lotus that symbolizes knowledge and her vehicle is a white swan.

πŸ’“ One day I will make a Saraswati Mandapam with my own money and make my dream come true.

The mini worlds end

My husband and I went to see the End of the World in December .I was born in Badulla District of Uva Province and I am very proud to have been born in a cold weather environment. We went by bike. The little end of the world is more prominent in the popular places where I live. After coming to Passara town from Badulla, we arrived at Pitamaruwa and went to Madolsima. Little End of the world is located in Madolsima area, it is located at the corner of Rowberry Tea Estate. When we reached it, we could see small dry forests. The most striking feature of Madolsime Worldsend is that the viewer can see a vast plain stretching from the base of the mountains towards the east coast. Even when my husband and I went there, we could see how the mountain range was shrouded in mist. When mini and he went, the road was only carpeted for a short distance, so the road was difficult. My husband is an advanced photographer so he took some very good photos.I felt like I was in the clouds and it was a ...

My first work experience...πŸ’“

A s my first job, I worked in People's Bank.  I was selected as a university qualified a t that time.   It was the first time I clashed with society after finishing my school days.  After passed the first interview, I got to train in a bank in my area.  I did not know who the customers and how to deal with them in earlier  All I did   knew was depositing and withdrawing money.πŸ’°πŸ’°πŸ’°  The day I first went to People's Bank, I was a little scared and nervous.  I was curious , if I would be able to work in a bank after studying in the advanced level in  arts stream.   But I realized that nothing is impossible if there is dedication, effort and interest.  I gained a lot of experience during my training period. I always received the knowledge, advice and support of a friendly staff. I realized how important mental freedom and memory, when dealing with money.   Even though I was a trainee, they trusted me and taught me everything...

It was the first day of the year.

T he New Year is celebrated not only by the Sinhalese. It celebrated by all the people around the world. The new year is start with a new calendar, new thoughts and hopes, forgetting the old grudges.  It was the first time I was out of the house. I was in a province where no one knew me. I missed my home a lot. Mom was not there to taste a delicious piece of milk rice like in previous years.  I and my friends in the hostel lit the stove to make milk rice. Then we made Katta Sambola with milk rice, bunch of banana and also we cut a cake and we set the New Year table.     We lit a  oil lamp and prayed that our all the wishes of the new year will be fulfilled. All the friends tasted milk rice and a cup of coffee make happy. We could see the firecrackers and fireworks at Colombo sky beautifully and colorfully.   We wished  all friends to become a happy new year. In  that evening, I went to worship the Gangaramaya Temple with my friends. Ri...
